1. General Provisions

These Terms of Use (hereinafter “Terms”) define the rules for providing electronic services through portal.sdcz.sk (hereinafter “System”) for end users of the Internet (hereinafter “User”). They also define the conditions for using the services and the principles of personal data protection in accordance with the System’s Privacy Policy.

The System enables the registration of dogs for racing and coursing events in Slovakia and is operated by SLOVENSKÝ DOSTIHOVÝ A COURSINGOVÝ ZVÄZ (hereinafter “Operator”).

2. Definitions

• Operator – SLOVENSKÝ DOSTIHOVÝ A COURSINGOVÝ ZVÄZ, Tovarnícka 5072/8A, 955 01 Topoľčany, Company ID: 42371465.
• User – a natural or legal person using the services provided by the Operator under these Terms.
• Organizer – a club or entity that has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Operator and accepts dog registrations for events via the System.
• Service – an electronic dog registration service provided by the Operator to Users through the System portal.sdcz.sk.

3. Use of the Service

• The Service is available to all Internet users.
• Full functionality requires user registration and login.
• The Service is provided free of charge; registration fees for specific events are determined by each event organizer.
• Cookies may be stored for login sessions, security, and user preferences (e.g. website language). Disabling cookies may limit functionality.
• The Operator uses secure SSL connections and appropriate data encryption.

4. Registration and Collected Data

• Registration is required to use the System. The following data are collected during registration:
• Username – used to log in; up to 150 characters; may include letters, digits, and @ . + - _.
• First name and Last name
• Email address
• Password – must:
  • contain at least 8 characters,
  • not be too similar to other personal data,
  • not be a commonly used or numeric-only password,
  • be confirmed with a repeated entry.
• Street and number, City, Postal code, Country
• Phone number
• Preferred website language (e.g. Slovak / English)
• Users are required to provide accurate and up-to-date information and to update it as necessary.

4.1 Dog Registration Data

• When registering a dog for an event, Users may provide additional information, including pedigree number or other identification data required by the event organizer.
• These data are used exclusively for event registration purposes and do not directly identify the owner unless linked to personal information.

5. Rights and Obligations

• The Operator strives to maintain continuous operation of the System but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and reserves the right to modify or suspend functionalities when necessary.
• The Operator shall not be liable for:
  • damages caused by misuse of the System,
  • outages or force majeure,
  • data loss beyond the Operator’s control,
  • illegal or false content entered by Users.
• Users must use the System in accordance with Slovak law and these Terms, must not interfere with its operation, and must protect their login credentials.

6. Complaints

• Complaints regarding the System or its Services may be submitted within 14 days of the incident to sdcz.info@gmail.com.
• Complaints should include the date, a brief description of the issue, and the User’s email address.
• Complaints will be reviewed within 7 business days; this period may be extended if necessary.

7. Personal Data Protection

• Personal data are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.
• The data controller is SLOVENSKÝ DOSTIHOVÝ A COURSINGOVÝ ZVÄZ, Tovarnícka 5072/8A, 955 01 Topoľčany.
• Detailed information on data processing is provided in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

8. Final Provisions

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic.
